We hereby share a machining plan for the aluminum alloy 5052 flange with the specified dimensions and surface finish requirement.

Outer diameter: 146mm
Inner diameter: 80mm
Thickness: 8mm
Surface treatment: Dark Grey Anodization





Material Selection: Begin by selecting high-quality aluminum alloy 5052 material, known for its excellent corrosion resistance and machinability.

Turning Operation: Start with a turning operation to achieve the desired outer diameter of 146mm. This can be achieved using a lathe machine, ensuring precision and a smooth surface finish.

Boring Operation: After turning, proceed with a boring operation to create the inner diameter of 80mm with high precision.

Milling for Thickness: To attain the 8mm thickness, employ milling operations. This ensures uniform thickness and a flat surface.

Anodizing Surface Treatment: After machining, the flange should undergo an anodizing process. Anodization will provide several advantages:
